I'm totally dating myself by admitting what an impact cassette tapes had on my life, but I'm doing it anyway. My first music was bought on tape, and by the time CD's came out, I had rows and rows of them. I actually wore out Belinda Carlisle's "Belinda" as a pre teen and I of course took mixed tapes completely seriously. Ah, the days of queuing up the perfect songs and decorating the tape case may be long gone but they will hold a special place in my heart forever. The kids have it so easy these days with itunes playlists...seriously.

Today I woke up all sorts of excited to have lunch with my dear friend Chonie. 99% because since the moment we met, we realized that once near each other, we never shut up. 1% because we were headed to Bouldin Creek who makes the most unbelievable beverage called the Lavender Mocha (which I get with Almond Milk). Normally I am a black coffee with sugar kinda gal, but this frothy cup of awesomeness has stolen my taste buds and left me obsessed. So obsessed that I realized later that when I got dressed this morning, I actually dressed in the outfit version of lavender mocha. What happens in my brain is strange...I just drink coffee and go with it.

I'm super out of it today. Part of the problem is that I worked too late in the studio last night after two nights of not enough sleep. Besides being sleep deprived, my allergies are out of control and so all I want to do is close my eyes. I'm surprised I've accomplished as much as I have today as every hour or so I find myself in a daze just staring at nothing really on the computer and have to chastise myself that I am just wasting time. I'm currently enjoying the worlds largest mug of tea as my daily coffee allowance was used up hours ago and did nothing to shake me out of my haze. I'm hoping that a good work out will either wake me up or push me over the edge of exhaustion so I give up on work and lie on the couch all evening watching Rescue Me on netflix. Until the tea hits, I will continue to look at pretty pictures on pinterest like the one above.

I have gone back and forth about bringing the daily image posts back to the blog. I stopped because I was trying to only post original content. Then I brought them back after Pinterest locked my account and lost a board because my account had been "compromised" so I wanted to make sure my favorite images were safe somewhere. Then I stopped because I forgot that I started them again. That last one is pretty sad. So I'll give it another whirl as when I look for an old post and scroll through a month from say 2009, its those posts that I love the most. To see what was inspiring me at that time and remember what I was working on. If thats not a huge part of the life of a designer, than I don't know what is! So they're back.
ps...self hosted wordpress blogs (like this one) now can add instagram photos super easily to posts...yessssssssss!!

I miss my daily photos...so I'm bringing them back! I'm also mad at Pinterest because it lost one of my favorite boards. My solution to both of these dilemmas is to share my favorite pins here...so I know they're safe and sound

the shoes I've been rocking recently are a rainbow of colors!
