Funny thing happened with this outfit...I saw the pictures and never want to wear the dress again. Seriously I look like I gained 20lbs. There is a theory that you should snap a photo of yourself in an outfit if your getting dressed for something big...well, now I know why. But it's a cute outfit, so I'll suck up my pride and show it to you anyway.

When the cardigan is not on, you can see how cute the neckline is...and that its sleeveless. The bow is attached to the sash which runs around the neck and hold the whole thing up. There is a thinner sash which ties around the waist so when its more the 35 degrees out you can see somewhat of a defined figure.

I highly doubt you'd be shocked to discover that I'm known to wear a lot of color...and that I grew up watching Punky Brewster. Last Friday it was cold and bleak, so I decided I would pile on vibrant hues to make the night a bit more cheerful. The result is a bit berry like, but fun...you should have seen what it looked like with my bright red, fur trimmed moon boots!!!

I had to wear all black last Saturday for work and decided to keep the same basic outfit for night, but make it a little more fun with colored tights and an awesome vintage jacket. The great thing about all black is that the jewelry really pops...and in my world, that's awesome.

I'll admit that I sometimes use random inspiration when I get dressed and the morning outfit was very Degas goes to a funeral. I was so exhausted by evening (as you may notice in my super enthusiastic energy I am exhibiting in those photos) that I was lucky to change part of my outfit...I lost energy in the hair department, so no judgment please

Day Version:
shirt: my mom gave it to me I think, no idea where it is from but there is a lovely detail of tiny black beads around the neck and sleeves. skirt: victorias secret (their clothes really are perfect for little, curvy figures like my own 5'2" frame). gray tights: we love colors. shoes: ciao bella. all jewelry: Manic Trout. I am trying out a new column here on the blog. I exclusively wear Manic Trout for jewelry, and going through the Out & About photos made me realize that I should show how I wear it. Today was freezing out...I had to wear jeans...and I really wanted to wear my lion shoes...which I found last Summer after designing the Rich Girls Necklace and knew they were meant to be mine! Here is my outfit for the day pairing Lions and Tigers and...velvet?

I found the perfect outfit for my purple tights tonight and as just about every person I saw at work tonight told me they thought so too, I figured I'd share here as well. Hopefully I'll think of this post when I get dressed in the morning, putting on my winter "uniform"...I can remember of how easy it was to dress a bit nicer then that...and I may be acting like a major girl here...but I always feel a bit more on my A game when I feel good about my appearance that day...so anyway...my outfit for work on Feb. 20...

I took this when I got home and therefore can enjoy the fact that the look on my face is the..."if I have to wear 4" heels for one more minute, I am going to cry...seriously" one. My favorite part is that the shoes match the tights which makes my 5'2" self look longer! I know, I know, I'm such a dork...

So I got to thinking that I often speak here of fun outfits, clothes bought and how I dress up for work...well I decided to share with you what I wore to the restaurant tonight...on Valentines Day...which is the two days of the year when I let the holiday colors be my inspiration (the other being St. Pattys...but I wear both bright green and fuchsia on a regular basis so that may be why). That was the best run on sentence I have ever written! Anyway...here is what it looked like:
