The main reason I gave in and went to the carnival this week end was to get cotton candy...it was awesome...

When I see certain things I get goosebumps, butterflies and a case of the giggles...my reaction to pleasure I suppose...there is a certain sun bleached quality that shows up in my favorite photos taken during the summer and trust me you will be seeing more photos like these in the next two months...if I had any wall space at all I would buy them by the arm load...but I am all out so its up to you...I have to just admire them on my computer for now...thank you etsy artists for capturing beauty so well....

I have always loved ferns, I used to play in the woods for hours...finding little niches that I would transform into houses, and I would always gravitate towards the ferns. At one point I also became obsessed with fiddle heads, but thats for a different post...todays showcase of etsy finds...

I have been in a bit of a haze, something I deal with at times. If I would let myself I would prefer to just lie in my bed all day long, but I am up and in my studio...physically anyway...so as I need all the inspiration I can find right now, I set out to find beauty on the Internet. I have been loving etsy recently with its abundance of amazing photographers, if you remember back to I love them in my home too. So todays theme is beauty...

All of my favorite colors are in the bottom photo...swoon.

I have mentioned before that I am lucky enough to live in a house where the gardens are well tended and flourish much of the year and you have seen the photos...well today after taking a lame photo of the awesome Allium blooming outside (see my photo above), I decided to share some pictures of allium that actually look good...all found on Etsy today.
I used to have a big bouquet of dried allium, but they did not survive the last move...maybe I'll have to rescue the ones in thegarden when they go to seed...I almost prefer them dried.

So I have decided to try something new...I have been making these one of a kind necklaces recently that are not quite the image of Manic Trout...maybe a bit more crafty then what Manic Trout is, but yet I still like them...so what's a girl to do? I figure the perfect solution is to use my Etsy show for them! So I will be every so often be posting one of a kind necklaces in my and that way, I can still make crafty jewelry and you can still buy it! So here is the first necklace, utilizing a pile of my vintage button collection...check it out: .

I finally installed the new software that would make me able to upload photos again and can now share with you all my beloved wall of photos that I have collected from Etsy. I love waking up every morning and being able to gaze upon this collection.
