It's official, the holiday season is upon us! I usually leave the tree trimming to my mom and head to her house for the festivities, I therefore have never been bitten by the decorating bug in December. Well all that has changed this year! I am hosting Christmas at my house and my mom and three sisters will be flying in to Austin from Boston, New York City and San Francisco on Christmas Eve. It started innocently enough...a little tree, a few poinsettias, some lights on the mantle and then BAM! We went to Target last night. Yadda, Yadda, Yadda...we're going to need a bigger tree. Anyway, now that I'm into the holiday spirit I wanted to do a themed giveaway, however I really don't have anything that screamed "holiday!". So I decided to go with a classic. We are gearing up for Fall in the US and many of you are hauling out boots and coats and sweaters from storage. Sadly however, those of us in Texas are not even close yet, boo. Which means that some of us have to rely on "fall-like" accessories to celebrate the new season. Can you believe it's already time for the August Giveaway? Wasn't I just telling you about July? Whew, time if flying by...whiiiiiizzzzzzzzz. That was my flying sound effect. Anywoo...it's sadly almost the end of summer. However, for many of you the plus side is that it's time to wear fall fashions! Here in Texas, it will still be HOT for some time, but I'm still excited for the change of wardrobe whenever it finally happens.
