I’ll admit I have no idea what that actually means…any thoughts? All I know is that I have been eating oodles of them while creating dazzling new creations that I’ll preview later today!

I had to share this video, its beautifully done…and actually kept my undivided attention for its entirety…which is really impressive these days as I have the attention span of a fruit fly…

Street Art – Scratching the Surface
This street art clip shows artist Alexandre Farto a.k.a. Vhils create and document his latest work in Portugal. Both the artwork and the video’s production quality have a subtle, almost subconscious, impact; undeniably a great piece of work.

It always amuses me when I think about how you can spend so much of your time in particular places at certain times of your life and then never set foot in them for years after. I used to travel by train all the time in college…I would take Amtrak back and forth from home to school for breaks and ride the rails to go visit friends all over the place…since graduation I think I have rode the MTA a handful of times to nyc…preferring to drive in now as I am older and have a much nicer car that I actually like to drive.

In the last couple of weeks however, I have visited four different stations in the area…this time dropping off and picking up…but still, suddenly places not frequented in years are a part of my weekly routine again…funny how life cycles…and how much the local stations have improved…

Back in the day when I was in prep school we used to venture as a class to one of my fellow students nearby home to get some r&r away from campus for the day…we loved this trip…mainly because his parents were German and therefore would hide beer in big buckets of ice for us all over the farm as they thought it equal to soda, and also because it was right before finals in late May so we could swim, or frolic or do really whatever we wished outside or in. As I have a massive addiction to sugar, I felt the best part was the huge, never ending bowl of luscious strawberries, warm from the sun, with a big bowl of sugar right next to it for dipping…mmmmm….I so wish had that right now….

By illustrator Ryan Cox…unfortunately it is sold on the only two sites it is sold (in France!) one site is sold out and the other charges way more for shipping then the mirror costs…as in $100 to ship a $60 mirror…so I cannot have it and that makes me supremely bummed out…

I sometimes wake up with a bit of a sneer…who know why…today it has a lot to do with a few daily technological devices not cooperating with me and refusing to work, which is causing a major glitch in my functionality. Perhaps its that my schedule had to flip flop this week at the day job due to two events mid week, so I feel like I never had a break. Maybe its the allergies that are tormenting me…or how much I have to do that I don’t have time for…or that I suddenly missing something I didn’t realize even existed…eh, who knows what it is…but lets all be thankful that I do not have access to an sharp instruments of battle today…

I am loving the work of Corrie Bond…especially this shot as I have a favorite tree on my block that I like to stand under…

Its been a week of long hours in the studio with breaks to walk the dog and enjoy the arrival of Spring…rather boring to blog about, but pretty to share…
